These two steel frame derricks were familiar objects to residents of Cardin, Oklahoma. Hum-Bah-wah-Tah number 1 and 2 mines were located along the highway just west of Cardin. Steel derricks were used extensively in the later years of the Picher field. This photo was taken about 1966 and was sent to me by Dale Allen.
