These two pictures of Commerce Avenue are part of a long panoramic view taken from the west end of Commerce's main business street. The photographer got on top of a building that sat about where that drive-in eating place is at now. This view shows the north side of the street.This view shows the south side of Commerce Ave. looking east. On the horizon is a two story building where I think the photographer took the picture on the first page and some of the following ones.
Early days livery stable at or near Commerce. This is where people brought their horses for grooming and feeding during the horse and buggy days. You could also leave a horse here for an extended period. It was like a hotel for horses. Photo courtesy of Sue Asher.
