The Miami Mineral Belt Railroad was another short line railroad that stretched from Miami up through the mining towns and finally to Baxter Springs, Kansas.   The line came into existence in 1917 and was in competition with the N.E.O.  There was a lot of conflict between the two lines until the MMB leased to the Frisco in 1929.
