New houses at Quapaw, Oklahoma about 1920. These houses were top of the line when they were built.
Dr. John B. Allen was an early day medical doctor who ran this drug store at Quapaw. He was practicing here as early as 1917 and was still there in 1925 when his wife, Evaline, died. He later moved to Seminole, Oklahoma. Dr. Allen is the man in the corner behind the counter. Photo courtesy of Remona Turner
