Views of residential sections in 1918
This view is a part of a large panoramic view of Commerce taken from that large building about a block east of the water tower. Here we see two large rooming houses where miners rented rooms. In the distance can be seen the Lost Trail mine.. Here is Commerce's water tower when it was new. It was recently torn down and a new one is now in place. Click HERE to see the last pictures of the tower.
Another view looking southwest shows this portion of the residential section. There is a building that looks like a school or church at the left side and the mines are probably the Emma Gordon and Cactus. All views are from a March 1918 panoramic view taken by Russell Younger, Miami photographer.
