I believe that this sign was located about C or D street on East Central and is looking west on Central. Central Avenue had a different name in the early days.
Main Street looking north from Central. This picture was probably taken about 1905 and shows the dirt street and horse and buggy transportation.
Another view of Main street showing part of the area between Central and First South Main. This view shows several buildings that are still there today. Notice the trolley car tracks in the street and the side by side parking. This street would soon become part of Route 66.
