About March 2001, I took this photo of the old and new towers sitting next to each other. The old tower was built in 1915 and served Commerce for 85 years. These old style towers are rapidly dissappearing and the only other one that I know of is at Fairland, Oklahoma. Before I realized it, the water towers at Quapaw, Picher, and Cardin were gone.
