    Here is a section of a larger picture and you can see the water tower and Connell Ave. going south. The Connell Hotel is just in front of the water tower.  The large chat pile in the distance is probably at the Premier Mine in the south part of town. These two pictures were taken in the 1920s from the Bingham mine tailing pile.
     Another early view of Picher shows a mining metropolis.  The young town was only about 3 years old at this point.  This picture is a small part of a much bigger panoramic view.
